AI NIGHT SCHOOL · THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2026
Keep Track
Find your notes. See what changed. Use the same brain folder.
01 · SAME BRAIN. SAME FOLDER.
Your folder holds your information. Hermes uses its instructions and context. Tonight we learn to find the notes and keep a visible history of changes.
02 · OPEN IT IN OBSIDIAN
Open the existing brain folder as a vault. A vault is the folder Obsidian opens. Find one note. Search for a known phrase. Use the same files your AI reads.
03 · MAKE ONE REVIEWED CHANGE
Use a fictional practice note. Add one sentence and save it. Check the facts before keeping the edit. A suggestion is not a confirmed decision.
04 · LET GIT KEEP THE RECEIPTS
Git records versions of selected files. A commit is a named checkpoint. Read the difference before committing. GitHub can hold the shared repository.
05 · SAVE ONE CLEAR CHECKPOINT
Review one change. Select its file. Commit with a useful description. Push to a private practice repository. Only include material you intend to share.
06 · FIND THE EARLIER VERSION
Find your note. Open the commit history. Show the sentence before and after. Inspect the earlier version safely. Tomorrow: use the setup for one real job.
Your result tonight
- Find one note with a search.
- Save one reviewed practice change.
- Show the before and after in version history.
Obsidian helps you navigate notes. Git records selected changes. GitHub holds the repository you push to it. These tools are not additional requirements.
Tomorrow: give your setup one useful job and check the result.
